AIPCE Alliance of Independent Press Councils of Europe

Welcome to the website of the Alliance of Independent Press Councils of Europe (AIPCE).

AIPCE is a loose network of independent content regulators for both press and broadcast media. Its annual conferences provide a forum for Media and Press Council representatives to discuss topical issues, to exchange ideas and to offer and receive advice. There is no formal membership and no central secretariat. For more about Press Councils see the What is a Press Council? section.

Enquiries about the Alliance may best be directed to the host organisation of the next conference. In October 2012, the AIPCE annual meeting was held in Belgium, and was kindly hosted by the Raad voor de Journalistiek (see the Contacts section for more details).

In 2013, the conference will be hosted by the Israeli Press Council and held in Tel Aviv. No further details are available at the present time.

This website is operated on behalf of AIPCE by the UK Press Complaints Commission. Please direct queries to catherine.speller@pcc.org.uk
